This hike is on a Wednesday at 10am.

After the hike you are invited to have a coffee & snack at the newly opened Utopia Market, on Rd 2, only 15 minutes away.It is a newly opened, locally owned unique business.

This will be our last organized hike of the season.

Hike Details:  This is a new hike for all of us as it recently opened on Sept 8. The property was obtained in 2024 with the help of BTC donors and we have to thank the many volunteers from the Beaver Valley Bruce Trail Club for all their work to prepare these Nature Reserve trails.

We start from the parking lot with a long uphill and continue on most of the side trails up, across and down the slope. At the 3/4 point we ascend to the Eagles Summit lookout located on the main Bruce Trail for another marvellous view. 

We will follow only 4kms of the trails however the closeups of the escarpment cliffs (from below and above), a view of a deep ravine and especially the Summit lookout over the Valley, makes it very special.  This trail is primarily hard pack with roots and some rocky areas. 

Difficulty: This is a moderate hike with several long (1 very long) ascents (and descents) Medium pace... with stops to catch your breath.

Distance:  4kms    Time: Approx 1.75 hours
