  Annual Golf Tournament!

  We are excited to announce this year's annual golf tournament! The price includes 18 holes of golf with cart, coffee and muffin to start, followed by a BBQ lunch and prizes after the golf.

  The format is "Team scramble - 18 holes". 

  As with past tournaments, the teams will be assigned by the organizers to balance the teams and encourage meeting new members. We will consider preferred pairs by request only. You are welcome to register a non-member guest for this event!

  Lunch options are: chicken on a bun, hamburger or a veggie burger or an egg salad sandwich and a choice of two side dishes: country potato salad, pasta salad, garden salad or Caesar salad.

  • Check-in: 8:00-8:40 AM 
    Get cart, team assignments, starting hole #, muffins and coffee
  • Welcome and review of rules: 8:40-8:50 AM
    All players in carts at 8:40 AM for the welcome
  • Golf—Shotgun Start: 9:00 AM-2:00 PM 
  • BBQ lunch: 2:00-3:00 PM
  • Prizes and Wrap up: 3:00-4:00 PM

  Registration: Sign-up and payment is online. Member couples can register and pay together using the Add Guest button.

  Refund Policy: As with past years, refunds will not be given after payment has been made.

  Inclement Weather Policy: Cancellation of the tournament will be considered only if the Shelburne Golf and Country Club officially closes the course to all play. This will be determined using R&A standards for play whereby dangerous weather prevents safe play on the course. Beyond this we will play—rain or shine. If the tournament is cancelled, we will reschedule based on availability of requested rain date.

  Annual Summer Picnic 

  Join us for a fun-filled summer picnic at the Stone Tree Golf, Fitness & Banquets Centre, just east of Owen Sound. We’ll be outdoors under a spacious tent that can accommodate up to 200 people. A delicious picnic lunch will be served, including wraps, sandwiches, salads, and large cookies.

  In addition to great food, we’ll have games tables set up (euchre, board games, etc.) and space for lawn games like lawn darts and bean bag toss. 

  We’re also offering a couple of pre-picnic activity options that you can select during registration:

  • Golf Contest– A Drive, Pitch and Putt contest (limited to 30 participants)

  • Inglis Falls Walk – A fairly flat, one-hour walk on a woodland trail (limited to 25 participants). Parking for the walk is at the Conservation Area and costs $11.30. Map and directions will be sent in the reminder email one week ahead.

  Be sure to choose your preferred option when registering, as spaces are limited!

  Once again we are returning to the King’s Wharf Theatre in Penetanguishene—this time to experience The 60's Musical Beehive

  This amazing Musical of the most powerful and iconic female voices of the 1960S will take us back to our youth. Told from the perspective of six women who come of age in this enigmatic decade, Beehive takes audiences on a nostalgic journey through timeless hits of the era such as "My Boyfriend's Back", "Son of a Preacher Man", "Natural Woman" and many more. From Leslie Gore to Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin to Tina Turner, this toe tapping production will put a song in your heart.

  With only 42 spots available for our Club tickets will go fast!

  To avoid disappointment please confirm and pay early. Because tickets must be purchased well in advance, online payment by credit card will be required at the time of registration to confirm your spot.  Please add your name to the waitlist if the event sells out, as we may be able to obtain more tickets

  Cost: $52.20 per person (including HST)

  Transportation: Members are responsible for their own transportation. Please leave yourself enough time to arrive 30 minutes before the performance. Travel time is approximately 1.5 hours from Thornbury.

  
  Refund Policy: As with past years, refunds will not be given. If you need to cancel before the event—and if there is a waiting list—we will put you in contact with waitlisted members to help you resell your ticket. But there is no guarantee that tickets can be resold. 

  Dinner Reservation: A group reservation for an early post theatre dinner  will be arranged closer to the date. Please indicate your intention to join the dinner during registration. You can still change your mind later! Members will be responsible for their own meal cost.
