Dining Around Town

 Meet Day:  Wednesdays, but varies monthly
 Location:  Various area restaurants
 Time:  12:00 Lunch or 5:00 PM Dinner
 Status:  New participants welcome

Members interested in dining out at various restaurants in the area meet monthly (except July, August and December). Most months it will be held on the 3rd Wednesday but the day/date may vary depending on restaurant availability. Menus are set with a choice of soup/salad and 3-5 main entrees while others may be buffet. We normally have cocktails around 5:00 pm. followed by dinner and are planning some mid-morning Brunches and noon hour Luncheons in 2023.

Members are notified by email of the date, restaurant, menu choices and prices and are asked to confirm their participation. Both "Singles" and "Couples" are welcome—we do have a fair number of "singles" join on a regular basis.

    This is a small restaurant, and has excellent food. 

    2-Course menu $27.00 plus tax & gratuity. Late cancellations or no-shows $27.00.

    Choice of:

    1) Chicken Parm Sandwich - Hand breaded Chicken breast with homemade rose and melted Swiss. On toasted Kaiser with basil aioli. Served with seasonal salad.

    2) Steak Caesar - Grilled NY Striploin on our crispy Caesar salad with fresh Parmesan and crispy onion rings

    3) Mushroom Agnolotti - Mushroom stuffed pasta topped with our zesty rose sauce with melted Swiss. Served with garlic toast

    Dessert: Carrot cake

    B) Lobster Roll: Herbed Lobster w/tarragon hollenday sauce w/shredded lettuce on a Portuguese roll.

    C) Sandwich Plate: Finger Tea Sandwiches: Egg Salad, Cucumber /cream cheese , smoked salmon

    D) Pasta: Penne

    Our Dining Around Town in May is on Thursday, May 7 at The Falls Inn, Walters Falls.  We will be on the main level again this year. 

    Dinner Cost: $49 plus tax and gratuity. Wine corkage fee: $12.

    Registration / Cancellation deadline: Friday, May 1.
    No-shows and late cancellations will be charged $49.

    Buffet Menu Includes:

    • Assorted fresh breads and spreads
    • Cheese and cracker tray
    • Smoked salmon and shrimp tray
    • Pickle tray

    3 Salads:

    • Caesar
    • Spinach with candied walnuts and goat cheese 
    • Mediterranean

    Main Entrees:

    • 14-week Ontario beef striploin in a red wine demi
    • Pan seared trout with citrus beurre blanc and chopped chives
    • Hot vegetarian pasta dish
    • Roasted potatoes
    • Medley of fresh vegetables
