Hike Leader: Sandy Tulloch
This beautiful 5 km hike is in the Potawatomi Conservation Area. We will access Jones Falls by 3 different trails, the Merle Gunby Sidetrail, the Memorial Forest Sidetrail, and the Bruce Main Trail.
Please note that this trail begins as an easy trail--and gets more beautiful as it progresses--but also more difficult. Expect loose rocks, exposed roots, one short steep rocky ascent and one short rocky descent. Estimated time is ~ 3 hours. Moderate pace. Difficulty varies.
Poles and hiking boots, not shoes, are necessary for safe footing. You’ll want to have your camera along.
Elsie’s Diner is just up the road, and it’s not to be missed-a real 50’s era diner- so come after the hike for lunch, a coffee, or a malted milkshake!
Please let Sandy know if you are staying for lunch at Elsie's, so that she can reserve tables for us.
