Our next Birding trip will be on Thursday, July 6th, when we will go to Bognor Marsh, located at 104277 Grey RD 18. Registration is limited to 16, including leaders but we will have a wait list for cancellations.  We are hoping to see a good mix of forest and wetland birds.

Because of construction at the Beaver Valley Community Centre, people who need a ride or can offer one should meet at the Tomahawk Sports Field Parking lot around 8:15; note that there is a parking fee ($10 per vehicle) at the Bognor Marsh parking lot.  It is 30 minutes from Tomahawk to Bognor.  If you wish to go to the site directly, please plan to be at Bognor Marsh parking lot before 9AM. Please contact Brian if you need directions.

Remember to bring binoculars, birding guides and camera; water, plenty of bug spray, sun block; and suitable footwear for trails which may be muddy or wet in places.

Note that there is a floating bridge (20m long) with no hand holds to get onto the Marsh boardwalk for a short out and back walk.  If you are game, there is also a 5.1 km loop trail that circles the marsh, taking about 1.5 hours to complete. Depending on interests, we may split into two groups to see both areas.

In the case of bad weather please check your e-mail by 7:30 am on the day of the outing for cancellation or postponement.
