Date: Wednesday July 21 (Rain Date on Friday)
Nottawasaga Lookout, Standing Rock and Caves Side Trail, west of Duntroon, see Bruce Trail map 23. We start on the main Bruce Trail through a mature forest and head along the edge of the escarpment. We then descend to the start of the Standing Rock and Caves Side trail. We will pass a standing rock pillar isolated 80 m north of the Escarpment edge. There will be lots of crevices, through wonderful ‘open to the sky’ caves with many ferns and then climb back up to the mail trail.

Difficulty is rated as difficult with rocky climbs to slippery when wet crevices between dolostone blocks. Some jumbled rock debris. Please ensure you have the physical ability to hike this trail with no balance or mobility issues.
The distance is 3 kms. taking approx. 1.5 hrs.
