How to Play Bid Euchre
You play with a partner the same as you do in regular Euchre.
2 Deck of Cards are used. Ace, King, Queen and Jacks only.
All Cards are dealt out.
Bids:
- The player to the left of the Dealer “bids” or “states” first the number of tricks they feel they could get i.e. 2 Hearts
- The next person has to bid up or “NO” bid.
- Trump will be set by the person who won the highest bid.
- Unlike regular Euchre you can bid “No Trump” which means Ace is the highest card. Jacks will no longer be bowers.
- If you won the bid and you and your partner do not collect the number of tricks you bid, your score goes down the bid amount
- 8 rounds are played for a game
Going Alone:
There are 3 different ways to go alone:
- i) Shoot the Moon (Go alone) = 24
- ii) Call 1 card from your partner & go alone = 18
- iii) Call 2 cards from your partner & go alone = 12
- If you do not get ALL the tricks, your score goes down the number of points it is valued at.
