We do chip-carving, whittling, relief-carving,
figure-carving, animals & birds, caricatures etc., and learn about woods,
tools, sharpening, holding, and ideas for projects.
We meet Monday afternoons in the Community Room in the basement at Errinrung.
The cost of tools, wood, & safety equipment depends on the type of carving
and the extent of involvement one wishes to have. We get much of our
supplies from Chippingaway located in Kitchener, ON. On three occasions we
have hired outside instructors for a 2-day course, but most of the time we
just help each other. We do have fun.
At this time we are not open to more outside guests or members of other
Probus Clubs, but if you wish to be added to our mailing list for current
