Snowshoeing

Coordinators: Barbara & John Dick

and Eileen & Dave Robinson

The Snowshoeing Activity Group meet weekly, from the arrival of sufficient snow, until the snow disappears in the spring. Different days are chosen each week to facilitate attendance by members who have other commitments. Details and  directions of where the activity is taking place are sent out via e-mail (or telephoned  to those without e-mail). Local forests and trails, as well as member’s private property, provide interesting outings.  As in past years, the locations for the outings will provide easy to moderate terrain.  Some of our members are starting to find the trails and pace a little too challenging. Before starting each hike, we will break into two groups so participants can choose the level of activity they prefer. The activities last between one and a half and two hours and then, those who wish to, go to a    local restaurant, or one of our member’s homes, for lunch.

This is a very social group and guests are always welcome! Our aim is to get a little exercise while having fun, enjoying the outdoors and meeting new people. Anyone who has not signed up, but would like to join the group, can contact:
